We’re talking about a pretty, sub-tropical city on the south-eastern shores of ZA. This is where ‘Stein’, began his love affair with music as a 6 year-old kid trying to get his chords right on a piano.
It didn’t take long for the kid to find his feet; a few short years later he was putting his classical music training to use in church bands.

Do The Damn Thing’ having been uploaded just days ago, will probably feature on Stein’s sophomore. While it may sound like pretty much your standard crunk track, it bears the South African’s signature uncomplicated, gutsy delivery. He’s more a straight-shooter than a rap poet whose message is couched in layers of ‘hood metaphors.
Which is a good thing as you won’t be in doubt as to what he meant when putting his thoughts on paper. When he says ‘Before I die, I gotta do the damn thing’, that’s simply what he means. Whatever is in his heart to accomplish before he rests in eternal slumber, he’ll, well, do the damn thing.
It’s water that Craigenstein is not just preaching, but drinking as well. He studied Electronics and copped a couple of certificates in IT stuff and then decided to invent gizmos which he patented- he did the damn thing. Wanted to be the boss of a couple of IT companies- he is now.
And despite the fact that he is a budding artist with a not-too-impressive tour history, he owns a music label working with artists from as far afield as the UK and USA. Craigenstein comes across as one of a rare breed of men who live out their life philosophy, no hold barred.
