It was razzmatazz as fashion met style last weekend at Dabby Chimere’s movie premiere, The Sassy One.
Held
at the exquisite Film House Cinema in Lagos, the event attracted the
creme de la crème of the Nollywood and showbiz stakeholders, who stormed
the red carpet with the latest and trending wears to suit the evening
of glitz and glam.
Appreciative
of the event outcome, the producer of the movie and head honcho of Dabz
Movie Production, Dabby Chimere who is still basking in the euphoria of
the outing described it as a memorable one, which will go a long before
dying down.
“I’ve
worked so hard to set a formidable pace, but I never expected it to be
this high with what I’m seeing this evening. I think God’s grace is at
work. What is left for me now and the team is to consolidate. And we
will do our best to give our viewers the best of the content, with
interesting and quality package.”
On
the big lesson to learn from her latest movie, Dabby said, “The Sassy
One is an awesome piece. It is a movie I want to get out there. I want
every family to see the movie. It talks about drugs, and alcoholic
mothers. The movie is about a woman who has a child but cannot take care
of that child because she is addicted to cocaine and alcohol. The child
grows up too fast, taking care of herself, knowing the things she is
not supposed to know yet, because she doesn’t have a responsible mother.
“The
film sends a message for mothers to care more for their children
because they as mothers are the first role models the children have. So
if you are not ready to be a mother, don’t start, face whatever it is
that makes you happy, but once you bring a child into the world, you
should bear responsibility for that child. You have to sacrifice your
desires for that child,” she enthused.
In
attendance, the premiering event had the likes of Yvonne Jegede,
Shirley Igwe, Oma Nnadi, Kenneth Okolie, Okey Oku, Gift Okeke, Eniola
Salami, Princess Onumba, Stella Charles, Bobby Michael, Bolanle Nninowu,
Emeka Amaugo, Tissy Nnachi, Cool FM’s Begho, Bola Adebayo, Femi
Ogedengbe, Juliet Eche alongside others on roll call.
