Laura Whitmore
Presenter Laura Whitmore has picked up another coveted gig - presenting the red carpet and backstage coverage of this year's Brit Awards.
This will be the fourth year that the 29-year-old will be grilling music's top talent about the awards, their style and careers at London's O2 Arena.
"One of my personal highlights on the music calendar is always The Brits," Laura said.
"It's an institution, something I grew up watching religiously as a kid, crossed-legged glaring, goggle-eyed, at the TV screen. So to actually attend and be part of the proceedings is pretty darn surreal.
"Live TV with musicians who just want to party is great fun," she added.
Take Me To Church singer Hozier (24) will also be adding to the Irish contingent at the awards show as he has been shortlisted in the International Male Solo Artist category.
Laura's fellow Bray native will be going up against Beck, Jack White, John Legend and Pharrell at the ceremony on February 25.
Singer Ed Sheeran to perform in whelan's on January
"Blown away by the news of a Brit Awards nomination. Thanks so much to all involved and congrats to all the nominees. Thrilled here," he gushed.
Leading the way with the five nominations was Stay With Me singer Sam Smith.
The 22-year-old is up for best British Male Breakthrough Artist, Best British Single for Stay With Me, best video and Best Album, for In The Lonely Hour.
He is closely followed by popular singer-songwriters Ed Sheeran and George Ezra, who each receive four nominations, and rock duo Royal Blood, who have three.
One Direction were nominated in the Best British Group category and will compete with Alt-J, Clean Bandit, Coldplay and Royal Blood for the gong.
Other top international acts who were nominated include Taylor Swift and Beyonce, who are both up for the International Female Solo Artist award.
They'll be facing Lana Del Ray, St Vincent and Sia for the coveted accolade.
